Fish Report received the following from Russia Superintendent Mr. Steve Rose:
The past few years have been a time of unprecedented changes within Ohio Public Schools and many would say that these changes have not been good for public education. Over 40 school districts in our area have formed an advocacy group called Northwest/West Central Ohio Public Advocacy Network to express concerns and fight to regain local control in public education. Russia Local School has agreed to join this group in hopes that this will be a venue to express our concerns and advocate for positive improvements, which starts with greater local control, and fewer governmental mandates for Ohio Schools. Below is a link to a survey we are sending to all staff and community members within Russia Local School District. We encourage all district employees and community members to fill it out and leave your feedback. The deadline to complete the survey is April 15th. We want to hear your thoughts as we move forward fighting for positive change in Ohio!
