On August 23, 2014 Cruizer’s Bar and Grill in Russia, OH hosted its 4rd Annual Car Show to benefit Hospice of Miami County. Susan Hemm , Marketing and Development Coordinator for Hospice, was the grateful recipient of a $3900 donation. Hospice, being volunteer driven, uses benefits such as this to help maintain the structure that it takes to keep the quality of assistance for those who require it. With the help and support of our sponsors, O’Reilly Machine Tool Service, Tooling Technology, Custom Foam, Key Guarantee, Bensmans Garage, Francis-Schulze Company, A&M Pallet, Buschur’s Market, Goubeaux Excavating, Performance Power Coating, O’Neal Engines, Cardinal Ethanol, Fish Report, Stillwater Technologies, Fullenkamp’s Frenchtown and TWT Shirts, this event was a huge success. Music was provided by Jimmy Weaver, who also announced the raffle/silent auction winners and the car show trophy recipients. We want to give a big thank you to Southwest Airlines who provided two roundtrip airline tickets for a raffle which raised $620. Mark Brandt was the recipient of the airline tickets. Congratulations. The Trophies were provided by Lasting Impressions in Piqua, OH and were awarded to the top 3 places in 3 categories. 1st place original went to Ron McConnoughy for his 2007 Cobra CT 500, 2nd place original went to Don Warner for his 1965 Plymouth Convertible, 3rd place original went to Francis Rinderle for his 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo. 1st place restored went to Brad Francis for his 1967 Chevy Chevelle, 2nd place restored went to Tony Levering for his 1971 351, and 3rd place restored went to Bill Toopes for his 1972 Ford Mustang. 1st Motorcycle went to Howard for his 2014 Harley, 2nd place went to Dave Lear for his 2013 Rod King and 3rd place went to Amy Smith for her 1995 HD Sportster. The people’s choice award went to Chris Rinderle for his 1973 Camero. Lori Tomlian, one of the owners of Cruizer’s, put a lot of time and effort into organizing the event and by obtaining many donations from numerous businesses in the surrounding areas and nationwide companies. We want to give a big thank you to all of them. Her efforts were supported by the other owners and Hospice. It takes a team effort for an event such as this to take place and to be successful. Lori & Chris Tomlian and Steve & Barb Young, owners of Cruizer’s, would like to thank those who participated by taking their vehicles to the show and to those who donated their time and/or money to Hospice. We would like to thank the Hospice volunteers who help with registration and raffles. And, thanks to the Cruizer’s staff who worked so diligently to kept things running smoothly throughout the day. We at Cruizer’s are looking forward to continuing the tradition in the years to come by hosting an annual car show to benefit Hospice. Thanks, again, to everyone for your continued support.
