Ed, As we are nearing the end of the college basketball regular season and getting ready for the tournament, I just wanted to drop you a line to make sure you are keeping up with the Hoosiers. It appears that I.U will end up the regular season Big 10 Champions for the 21st time, second only to another Indiana school, Purdue at 22. They will also be the favorites to win a 6th National Championship and hang yet another banner in Assembly Hall. I was really surprised at how easily they went into Columbus earlier this year and routed OSU and can't wait to see how bad the beating is when the Buckeye's come to Assembly Hall next week. It is not too late for you and your loyal readers to get on the I.U band wagon and support a team that knows how to get things done. I once again extend the hand of friendship to everyone, you don't have to keep rooting for a middle of the pack Big 10 school just because you live in Ohio. Stand up for your rights and learn what it is like to back a winner! Go I.U ! Your friend, I.U Hoops Expert / aka Dick PS. Does the A-10 offer "at-large" bids to their conference tourney? Looks like that is the only way Dayton is going to get in. Don't you agree that if you finish 13th in a mid-major, the university should have to refund the cost of your season tickets?

We will start by clarifying that I.U. Hoops Expert actually sent Fish Report the above email around noon yesterday, well before the Indiana-Minnesota game tipped off last night. We will also assume that I.U. Hoops Expert fully expected the Hoosiers would win easy over the Gophers, hence the prediction that Indiana has the Big 10 Championship wrapped up. And we can only imagine the embarrassment he must have felt after Minnesota won last night and I.U. Hoops Expert desperately wishing he could somehow retract his email to us.
The fact is, Indiana has a one game lead in the Big 10 with three tough conference games to play. It would be a little premature to start printing t-shirts. And yes, Indiana did win in Columbus as Fish Report sat in attendance and watched in frustration. Perhaps the only thing that put a smile on our face that day was hearing the Buckeye students chanting "TYLER'S BETTER" as Cody Zeller attempted free throws.
Thanks for the offer to switch sides I.U. Hoops Expert, but we'll pass. And as for Dayton, from what I understand, their season ticket holders are doing just fine.
Friends, Ed

Ed, While I was a bit disappointed that IU dropped a tough road conference game, you have greatly over-exaggerated their demise. While a fan of the Flyers might view their remaining schedule as difficult, playing our next 2 games at home versus the 17-10 Hawkeyes and a team (Ohio State) we blew out on their home floor isn't too daunting of a task. I stand by my statement that I.U will win its 21 Big Ten championship, which will be locked up by crushing OSU next Tuesday. You can count on hearing from me on Wed, March 6th.
Your dear friend, IU Hoops Expert aka/ Dick
