As the Reds near the end of the 2023 spring training season, it is time to take a peek at the Louisville Bats potential starting lineup. Louisville opens the season on March 31st at Nashville. It could be a fun season for Manager Pat Kelly, who will be in his fourth year as the Bats skipper. He will field a talented lineup that could parade a bunch of players to Cincinnati for this year. At first base Kelly will have Christian Carnacion-Strand, who was so impressive this spring. Future standout Matt McClain will man 2nd base and the Reds #1 prospect Elly De La Cruz figures to start at shortstop. Third base will be Alejo Lopez and Chuck Robinson will be the starting catcher. The outfield has speedy Mike Siani in Cf and possibly Henry Ramos and Allan Cerda in the corners. While Brandon Williamson was disappointing in last night's start, he will probably be the Bats #1 pitcher. The Bats will fill out their bullpen and other starters with the last players cut from the Reds roster and could include Ricky Karcher, Connor Phillips and Joe Boyle. It is just possible that it will be a standout year for the Bats until the Reds begin the inevitable progression of talent to the major league club. Meanwhile the Reds Big Three of Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo, and Graham Ashcraft have proven to be terrific in their last spring training starts. The Reds will open in 6 days with the Pittsburgh Pirates in Great American Ballpark. YIB-G⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
