Have you ever thought about how our community would be less complete without the convenience of our own grocery store? It seems that it would be a good thing during this Thanksgiving week and the Holiday season to express appreciation to the Buschurs for being there for us with a high quality market tailored to the specific needs of our unique little town. They work long hours without making "big money" and cooperate with community events, allow their parking lot to be used for church and senior center activities, and present a pleasant face to all of their customers. Please go out of your way in this season to let them know that you appreciate their service. It would be nice to do so in person but a message on Facebook would certainly be a nice gesture.

We enjoy shopping for the fresh meats and the cheese when in Russia. I am proud to have been from this "little town" Many memories. One being I was so hungry for black walnut ice cream. Mom only bought vanilla. So after school I went to the store(1956), bought a qt. sat on the church steps and ate the whole qt. Then walked home to the farm.
