Our 2nd annual Holiday Helpers game will take place on Friday, December 11th. Last year between the Fort Loramie and Anna communities we were able to donate over 400 toys to Dayton Children’s. Our boys team is taking on Russia High School that night and we are asking everyone in attendance to bring in a new toy. The toys are for children ages infant to 18 years old. Our six senior basketball players will have the opportunity to hand deliver them to the children at Dayton Children’s Hospital. If you bring in a toy to the game, you will receive a free bag of popcorn compliments of the Fort Loramie Athletic Department. If you are unable to attend the game and would still like to donate, you can drop off a toy at the High School or Elementary office. It is truly a very heartwarming experience and it brings two communities together for more than just basketball. Its about helping others during the holiday season.
Thank you,

Friday December 11th, 2015 the Fort Loramie and Russia communities came together for more than just a basketball game. Fort Loramie Boys Basketball Program asked people attending the game to donate a toy that would be given Dayton Children’s Hospital. Last year the Anna and Fort Loramie communities came together to donate over 450 toys. This year with the help of both communities and the Fort Loramie FCCLA program over 1,000 toys were donated. In addition to the toys an anonymous monetary donation of $1,250.00 was also made. With the monetary donation the Fort Loramie Varsity Basketball team went to Wal Mart Saturday morning to finish purchasing some final toys that were on the Dayton Children’s Wish List. This was a truly a special event, I am extremely humbled by the turn out of our 2nd annual Holiday Helpers game. The generosity of both the Fort Loramie and Russia communities is unbelievable. Thank you to everyone who donated. The smiles those toys will provide goes a very long way. The toys will be delivered by the Fort Loramie Senior Basketball players on December 30th.
