The very first line on the RussiaOh website states "The Village of Russia is home to members of a community that prides itself on a strong work ethic and a desire to give back to the community in which they live." I don't see this statement being true at all when numerous community members no longer care for the safety of children in this community. When you buy a home within any town there are always by-laws or ordinances and ignorance is not an excuse for not knowing when you buy you ask. So to my point there is one I would like to point out. Everyone is suppose to be clearing snow from the side walks this is a responsibility that home owners in Russia are suppose to be abiding by. It is sad that children in this community are having to walk on the street because home owners are not only not shoveling there side walks but are also piling up their driveway snow onto the sidewalks so it is not even possible for the children to attempt to walk on them. "Snow removal ordinances apply in some Ohio cities and townships. If your city or village has an ordinance that requires residents to keep walkways free of snow and ice, then you do have a responsibility to try to clear the snow. Most Ohio cities with snow removal ordinances will levy fines for not removing snow in a timely manner. However, the ordinance does not automatically make a homeowner liable if anyone slips and falls on their uncleared property." So as you see according to Ohio Russia could actually fine home owners for not following this. I personally think they should our children are our most important treasures. Their safety should come first. Not our selfishness. So back to the Russia statement I first noted. Community pride where is it. Strong work ethic where is it. Giving back to the community I don't see it.

Effective and impactful arguments via the world wide web are best served with proper grammar. Where is the pride in your poorly written complaint?
Sidewalks should be appropriately shoveled and cleared, no question. Maybe the village should consider hiring you for permanent snow removal duties? I'm certain the elderly in Russia, who are incapable of removing snow/ice from the sidewalks, would appreciate such an idea.

Yes I forgot a couple of commas. When I wrote it I was very upset at seeing the kids having to walk in the street. While cars were also trying to drive down the street. If you also noticed two sections were quoted, one from the Russia website and the other larger statement from the Ohio Revised Code. You get the point though this is about the children's safety. Not a slam to the elderly. The elderly shouldn't even be an issue because there caring and considerate families should be taking care of things like this for them. I personally help out the elderly neighbor next door with snow and leaves. So once again this was about the responsibility oh homeowners not shoveling their sidewalks and the kids suffering for it.

Okay people real grown up. Mentioning grammar issues when that is not even the subject to which this started. All that says to me and I am sure others is; the people who are getting worked up over grammar, when that is not the subject are either peeved off because they are the individuals who are not doing there duty or they are just unhappy people in general and are bullies that find pleasure in belittling others. As a Christian community we should love our fellow neighbors. Up build them not tear them down. I don't get anything mean or hateful out of the snow removal statement. I see a person upset and trying to bring it to people's attention. If someone took it personal it is within that individual that should look within and ask why they are so upset and if all else fails and you believe in God ask what would he respond with. Belittling or solving an issue or just not apply it to yourself. If you don't believe in God call an expert and ask them if belittling someone for grammar is the correct path. Let's please keep this to the snow removal issue, and not blow it out of proportion. Thank you.
